Unintentional function

Just a short post to show that nothing is a “failure” or waste of time. It’s just a matter of time before the experience or object makes it’s purpose known.

This summer I tried my hand at crafting and felt like I wasted my time on what never became a quilt.

After having my daughter, Mireya, and still sewing (preparing for StyleWeek in January) I brought her into my studio. On the floor was the attempted quilt. Mireya couldn’t stop staring. Remembering that infants are attracted to graphic black and white images and shapes, it only made sense that this crafting fail would become a great focal point for Mireya at her changing station. And what a success it’s been 🙂
